Incoming School Visit 2016 – St Paul’s School (Lam Tin) Past Event

Event details

On 29 November 2016, 60 secondary 3 students from St Paul’s School (Lam Tin) came to visit our School. Our Assistant Professor, Dr Janet Wong, were very pleased to deliver a mini talk for them. Students and teachers were impressed by Dr. Wong’s detailed presentation on the HKU’s vision for the next decade 2016-2025 which could be achieved through “3+1 Is”, meaning “Internationalization”, “Innovation”, “Interdisciplinary” and “Impact”. In addition, Dr. Wong gave a brief introduction on our Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) programme to the students. Admission requirements of our undergraduate programme and the range of career prospects in nursing were also discussed. Two of our student ambassadors, Ms Chan Wing Yan Jane (Year 1) and Ms Ng Sze Wai Grace (Year 1) were delighted to share aspects of their University life with our visiting students, such as their happy residential life in Hall and wonderful experiences of being an Exco member of the Club. Visiting students were interested to know their reasons for studying nursing at HKU. Apart from visiting our Yu Chun Keung Medical Library, students had an opportunity to learn a series of simulation-based nursing skills in our laboratory through demonstrations conducted by our Assistant Lecturers, Ms Joyce Chung, Ms Mary See and Ms Florence Yip. Visiting students and teachers have been enjoying the interactive learning.
