Dozens Join Summer Incoming Student Exchange Programme

Some 73 students and teachers from 12 institutes around the world were welcomed to our Summer Incoming Student Exchange Programme in July 2025.

Participants came from Central South University, EWHA Womans University, Jeju National University, Mahidol University, National University of Singapore, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Ningxia Medical University, Peking Union Medical College, Trinity College Dublin, The University of Sydney, Zunyi Medical University, and HKU, enjoying opportunities for cultural exchange, exploring Hong Kong, and experiencing university life at HKU.

Highlights included an East-Meets-West Luncheon, Community Experiential Learning, district visits, community visits, and clinical visits to deepen understanding of Hong Kong’s community services, healthcare system, and hospital environment. Students were also immersed in HKU life through visits to our Simulation Centre and School of Chinese Medicine and participation in our Experiential Learning of Treatment Modality.

The programme concluded with participants sharing insights on their own countries’ healthcare systems and reflecting on their experiences over the two weeks, when they created many friendships and lasting memories.
