U21 Health Sciences Nursing and Midwifery Group Research Postgraduate Symposium 2025

The School was proud to host the U21 Health Sciences Nursing and Midwifery Group Research Postgraduate Symposium 2025 on October 31, which featured 13 presenters from five universities, including Fudan University, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, University of Birmingham, University of Glasgow, and The University of Hong Kong.

This hybrid event was also streamed online to bring emerging scholars to a wider audience to showcase their innovative research and to encourage the dynamic exchange of ideas. Professor Marcela Gonzalez Aguero, Chair of the U21 Health Sciences Nursing and Midwifery Group, and the School’s Director Professor Chia-Chin Lin provided valuable support to the event, while a distinguished panel of adjudicators recognised outstanding presentations, including Professor Yan Hu from Fudan University, Professor Ping Guo from University of Birmingham, and Professor Daniel Fong Yee-tak from HKU.

Each postgraduate was given three minutes, using a single static PowerPoint slide, to effectively convey the core of their research in an impactful and focused way. Outstanding Presentation Awards were presented to:

The symposium is dedicated to fostering intellectual development, encouraging collaboration and promoting the cultivation of future leaders in Nursing and Midwifery across borders, and to giving participants inspiration and motivation to make meaningful advances in their respective fields.
