HKUMed was one of the local medical training units invited by the government to participate in the anti-epidemic work.  Therefore, the Faculty of Medicine of The University of Hong Kong has arranged inoculation and swabbing techniques workshops for medical and nursing students to practise relevant skills with the assistance of the School of Nursing.  At the same time, a temporary COVID-19 vaccination centre has been set up on campus by HKUMed for the injection of the third dose of BioNTech vaccine to strengthen the protection of the students.

Secretary of Food and Health Bureau Professor Sophia Chan and Dean of Medicine Professor Gabriel Leung visited the centre.  Professor Chia-Chin Lin, Head of School of Nursing also participated.  The students practised vigorously and were prepared to combat the epidemic and serve the public.
