10th Anniversary of the Certificate in Infection Control Course
A virtual plenary lecture titled “From SARS 2003 to COVID 2019” was delivered by Professor Kwok-Yung Yuen, HKU Chair Professor of Infectious Diseases and Programme Director of the Certificate in Infection Control Course, on November 21, 2020 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Certificate in Infection Control Course.
Professor Yuen is a world-recognised expert in infectious disease control and he spoke to around 700 participants about his experiences, covering epidemiology, virology, pathogenesis, treatment, vaccines and infection control, among other topics.
The Certificate in Infection Control Course was launched in 2009 and is co-organised by School of Nursing, the Carol Yu Centre for Infection of HKU’s Department of Microbiology, and the Infection Control Team of Queen Mary Hospital.
