Engaging and Developing Simulation-Based Education Workshop 2021 Past Event

Event details

The School has been at the forefront in adopting simulation in nursing education in the region.

To carry on the momentum in simulation teaching and keep our nurse educators abreast of the latest simulation technology, a one-day simulation workshop was held on February 17, 2021 with over 40 teachers participated.

In the workshop, the participants were updated on the latest knowledge and techniques related to simulation-based teaching, such as roles of simulation facilitator, debriefing, engaging standardized patients and developing simulation-based scenarios, etc. In addition, there was a hands-on session where the participants can operate and familiarize themselves with various simulators and conduct a simulation exercise.

The workshop helped further strengthen our nurse educators’ capability in using simulation-based education to enhance students’ clinical competency and skillset. The workshop was well-received by the participants with positive feedback and active participation.
