Incoming School Visit on February 7, 2018 – St Stephen’s Girls’ College Past Event

Event details

On February 7, 2018, there were altogether 20 secondary-5 students and two teachers from St Stephen’s Girls’ College visiting our School. Dr Janet Wong, Programme Director of the Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) programme, gave a mini-talk to the students introducing the nursing profession as well as our comprehensive and holistic undergraduate programme and the advanced laboratory facilities. Dr Wong also explained the details on our admission requirements and answered students’ questions concerning JUPAS admission interview.

In addition, our librarian was pleased to host a tour of the medical library for the visiting students, during which the extensive medical collections and sophisticated information technology in supporting teaching, learning and research were introduced.

The students also visited our newly renovated Nursing Skills Training Centre. They were fascinated by the state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment used in our simulation teaching, such as the high fidelity simulators. With the help of the simulators, our Assistant Lecturers, Dr John Fung and Mr Edmond Chan demonstrated role-play which the students enjoyed very much.  Moreover, the students were guided by our another Assistant Lecturer, Ms Vivian Tsang, to explore the six community simulation rooms which could provide a good platform for our nursing students to practice community nursing.
