In the past years, I have encountered many
unforgettable moments in the School, filled with
laughter and tears. My most grateful moments
are hearing my students’ good news about their
career promotion at workplace. I am so proud of
participating in their nursing journeys.

My alma mater, HKU School of Nursing,
has gone... far beyond its original meaning as
my “nourishing mother of studies”. She has
witnessed my metamorphosis from a novice
into a professional nurse educator as well as
from a “jeune fille” into a wife and a mother
of two adorable kids.
Attending overseas simulation trainings in 2016
and 2018 not only equipped our team with updated Ms Hellene YM Yiu
knowledge, but also fostered strong team bonding. Assistant Lecturer | Joined in 2012
Following the spirit of HKU, we all studied hard
and played hard. They are truly treasured moments
in my career and life.

It is thrilling, even now, to recall the moment
I joined my alma mater as a faculty member 10 years
after earning my bachelor’s degree. Such a privilege
to work with dedicated nursing educators to
nurture our next generation and our talented yet
humble researchers to challenge scientific questions.
It is truly an unforgettable journey.
