It’s been a tough year for Hong Kong and barely do we have in-person
classes at the School of Nursing. We appreciate the efforts made by the
School to facilitate our online learning, as well as balancing our role as
frontline nurses and part-time students.
Mr Chow Wai-chi
Bachelor of Nursing (Part-time) for Registered Nurses N24
There are many unforgettable moments when studying in HKUSON.
Being an intern in the School research team is definitely one of the
most valuable experiences for me. From designing the project, drafting
the proposal, to assisting on the intervention for children with cancer.
Their desire and enjoyment in participation make me believe that
our nursing care may not cause an immediate effect, but a consistent
quality care will provide them a better quality of life or rewards.
Mr Danny Hung Chun-kit
Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) 2017
Master of Nursing 2020
A trip down memory lane with the School since 2011, from being an
undergraduate to postgraduate student, has been amazing and memorable.
The School has granted me numerous opportunities to gain clinical and
research knowledge, thereby shaping me into a better nurse and researcher.
Ms Naomi Takemura
Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) 2015
Doctor of Philosophy
I have a dream that develops me better, avid for broadening my
perspectives, and it is because of meeting a great mentor. I strongly
believe that the HKU School of Nursing was the giant who helped
me to see further by opening many doors to let me pursue my
interests in nursing.
Ms Sujin Nam
Doctor of Philosophy
I enjoyed being a doctoral student at HKU School of Nursing. An unforgettable
moment in my studies happened in the lecture on “Teaching Pedagogies and
Strategies”. Lecturer used assisted tools, i.e. Mentimeter and Kahoot, to present,
which engaged the students successfully in class. The tools created fun,
increased interactions between teachers and students, stimulated thinking
and made the lecture innovative, interesting and memorable.
