When I look back, my first clinical placement was in a cardiac rehabilitation
ward. My mentor taught me a lot about cardiac diseases and clinical reasoning.
It cultivated my interest in cardiology. Now I have become a registered nurse in
a cardiac ward. I always remember everything my mentor taught me.

Playing the part of a nurse during a simulation two
years ago is definitely one of my most unforgettable moments
with the School. The involvement of professional actors and
registered nurses optimised the simulation workshop in a
more realistic way. I really enjoyed sharing this experience
with nursing students in such an energetic environment.

The most unforgettable moment during my undergraduate
studies was having nursing practicum with Maggie Chan.
She was very serious and tough in the ward. My classmates and
I were very scared of her at the very beginning, but in fact she
is very kind-hearted and funny. She still takes good care of
all of us now (almost eight years after our graduation)!

Congratulations to HKU School of Nursing on celebrating the 25 anniversary.
th
I would like to show my genuine gratitude to my alma mater for the
education here. I gained more than just the nursing knowledge that equips
me as a nurse today, but also being able to make amazing friends and to be
inspired by great people around. In 2016, I was a pioneer on the Intercalated
Master of Public Health Programme and HKU Nursing has been my greatest
support to get me through. I also had precious chances to attend a WHO
regional forum, overseas exchange and join local activities on teenager
alcohol and tobacco control.
Today, it is a pleasure witnessing the excellent endeavours made by the
School. I look forward to seeing our future HKU Nursing generations
continue to flourish, to make a difference in our lives and those of others.
