Currencies
Legal tender is the Renminbi (RMB). Exchange services for different currencies are available in various banks and currency exchange shops in Shenzhen. Mobile payment/E-payment is also prevalent in China including Shenzhen.
Electricity and voltage
The standard electrical voltage in Shenzhen is 220 volts AC, 50Hz. Most hotel bathrooms also have outlets for 100 volts, but if not, you will need a transformer for any appliance or electrical equipment. The majority of electrical outlets in Shenzhen take a two-pronged US-style plug or two-pronged Europe-style plug. You can buy an adaptor for your electrical equipment at most convenience stores.
