Respondingto SocietyServing Our Community During Crisis with Dedication and LeadershipThroughout our first 30 years, the School of Nursing has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to serving the Hong Kong community, especially in times of crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the School showed remarkable dedication and leadership in responding to the challenges and took proactive and leading roles in serving the community. When the fifth wave of the pandemic hit Hong Kong, the School swiftly mobilised over 500 nursing students and teaching staff to provide essential support for testing, vaccinations, patient care, and public education. Our students and educators were instrumental in boosting testing capacity, caring for elderly patients at holding centres, assisting with vaccinations, and creating educational materials to promote anti-COVID hygienic measures.50
