Community and Mental Health NursingBy establishing robust evidence on the clinical and cost-effectiveness of scoliosis screening, our research has revolutionised approaches to scoliosis prevention, shaping international guidelines and raising global awareness. We also use AI and big data to build better predictive models for childhood obesity and hypertension, enabling timely and life-changing interventions to improve the health of families.During the pandemic, the School formed a global alliance of over 60 experts across 30 countries to compile the largest dataset on preparedness and the social impact of COVID-19. We developed nurse-led sexual health programmes that reduce risky behaviours and inform national HIV/STI strategies, redesigned school curricula to enhance youth well-being, and created a costeffective mental health programme for ethnic minorities, now adopted by the Hong Kong Government. Our community-based diabetes prevention model has influenced local practices in addressing this global epidemic. Additionally, we have taken a leadership role in intimate partner violence research, delivering high-quality interventions to support survivors across Chinese society.36
