Theme:   Nursing’s Evolving Roles in Transforming Global Health: Challenges and Opportunities

The 10th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum cum 3rd Sigma Asia Region Conference jointly organised by the School and the Sigma Theta Tau International Asia Region was completed successfully on December 7 to 8, 2020. For the first time, this year’s Forum was held virtually online due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. With over 1,500 participants joined to the Forum and a record high of 41 co-organisers from around the world took part in this annual flagship event.

It was truly our honour to have Professor Sophia Chan, Secretary of Food and Health of the Food and Health Bureau, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government; Professor Vivian Lin, Executive Associate Dean of LKS Faculty of Medicine and Professor of Practice (Public Health) and Professor Chia-Chin Lin, Head of School of Nursing, The University of Hong Kong to officiate at the Opening Ceremony.

With the theme “Nursing’s Evolving Roles in Transforming Global Health: Challenges and Opportunities”, the Forum brought together international and local leading authorities in nursing research, education and clinical practice, to present and discuss their insights on the latest developments and transformation in the role of nurses.
