13th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum Past Event

Event details

The 13th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum (HKINF), organised by the School of Nursing at The University of Hong Kong, was successfully organised at our Sassoon Road Campus.  This year, the theme of the Forum was “Nurses’ Impact on Planetary Health”, scholars shared their insight on how nurses play an indispensable role in shaping planetary health through their multifaceted involvement in key areas, such as patient care, education, research, and the impact on health policies. 

The event was co-organised with 45 partners from over 15 countries/regions and attracted nearly 400 delegates worldwide to join in person.  An opening remarks was delivered by Professor Vivian Lin, Acting Dean, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong followed by a welcoming address by Professor Chia-Chin Lin, Director and Professor, School of Nursing, The University of Hong Kong.  We were honoured to have Mr Henry Fan Hung-ling, Chairman, Hospital Authority deliver an opening keynote address for the event.   The renowned speakers were:

During the event, participants shared their research findings via E-Posters, and the best e-posters were awarded at the Closing Ceremony.  The event was concluded by the Forum Co-Chairs Professor Patsy Chau and Professor Edmond Choi with a Vote of Thanks. This was a memorable event and a remarkable opportunity for delegates to gain inspiration and knowledge from the speakers and interact with nursing professionals and partners from other countries/regions.
