The 8^th Serena Yang Lecture was held on December 8, 2020 in conjunction with the 10^th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum cum 3^rd Sigma Asia Region Conference jointly organised by the School and the Sigma Theta Tau International Asia Region. The Lecture was held virtually online due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor Terri E. Weaver, Dean, College of Nursing, University of Illinois at Chicago, the United States was the speaker of the Lecture.  She shared her wisdom on the topic “COVID-19: Opportunities for Invention and Role Evolution”.
