A new academic year 2025/2026 is about to begin. HKU School of Nursing was pleased to take part in the HKUMed Faculty Academic Induction Day on August 18, 2025. At the Grand Hall at the Centennial Campus, our freshmen were warmly welcomed by Professor Chak-sing Lau, Dean of Medicine, and fellow teachers from the Schools and Departments of HKUMed, marking the official start of their university journey.

To help freshmen better prepare for the years ahead, they had a chance to meet with their teacher, senior students, and other fellow freshmen at the breakout sessions. During the sessions, teachers introduced the nursing curriculum framework, while senior students shared their experiences of campus life and learning, offering valuable insights.

We wish all our freshmen to stay true to their aspirations and embrace the spirit of nursing, explore a diverse range of study life over their next five years, and embark on a fulfilling and unforgettable university journey at HKU.
