The HKU School of Nursing is dedicated to nurturing the new generations of nursing professionals and committed to further developing and improving nursing education, research and clinical nursing practice and resources in the region. 

A year after the SEANERN Memorandum Signing Ceremony held during the 7^th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum in December 2017, the School, as the only signatory nursing institution in the territory, organised a Global Health Nursing and Leadership Development Workshop for SEANERN student representatives.

Students from 7 different countries participated in this two-week workshop to gain an overview of global and community nursing theories and strategies, to exchange knowledge of different healthcare systems in the Southeast and East Asia region and to participate in the 8^th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum cum 2018 International Council on Women's Health Issues Congress.

Participants have been able to widen their perspectives about global nursing and were aspired to become nursing leaders making contributions in the nursing community.
