Events

The HKU Undergraduate Admissions Information Day was successfully held on October 24. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us to explore the nursing profession.

Three admissions talks were held throughout the day and we were honoured to have Professor Chak-sing Lau, Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health) (Interim) and Dean of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong, deliver welcoming remarks in support of the event.  Alumni and current students also shared their career journeys, learning experiences, and campus life, offering participants different perspective on HKU School of Nursing.

In addition to the admissions talks, the Mock Interview and Interview Workshop were newly introduced this year.  Through the mock interviews, participants experienced an interview setting firsthand and received immediate feedback and advice.  The Interview Workshop provided practical strategies to equip students aspiring to pursue nursing better prepare for their future interviews.

Participants also actively took part in programme consultations to learn more about admissions information, curriculum highlights, Life Enrichment Learning, clinical practicum and future development opportunities.

Visits to our state-of-the-art simulation wards were among the most popular activities. Through simulated scenarios and nursing skills demonstrations, participants gained experience of nursing education and a better understanding of the important role of the nursing profession in the healthcare system.
