Theme: Care@Home — Innovating Digital Nursing with Heart for Community Health

The School of Nursing (SoN), LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong cordially invites secondary schools to participate in the HKU Nursing Youth Innovation Challenge 2026.

This competition forms part of the School's annual flagship international nursing forum, The 16th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum (HKINF) – Digital Empathy, Innovating with Heart, taking place on 23 Nov 2026.

About the Challenge

The HKU Nursing Youth Innovation Challenge offers secondary school students a strategic opportunity to explore the transformative role of digital technology in modern nursing practice, aligned with our visionary Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) Programme [BNurs(FT)].

• Target Audience: Secondary school students (F.4–6 / Year 11–13 / Grade 10–12)
• Team Structure: Teams of 5 to 6 students
• Task: Design a practical digital nursing solution for a community patient

HKU SoN is dedicated to nurturing competent nursing professionals through advanced, technology-driven pedagogy. Our state-of-the-art academic building at Sassoon Road features cutting-edge clinical simulation facilities designed to prepare students for the evolving global healthcare landscape.

Competition Stages & Finalist Benefits

1. Stage 1 Proposal: Teams submit a two-page written proposal online detailing their digital nursing concept.
2. Shortlist Announcement: The top 10 finalist teams will be selected to advance to the Grand Finale.
3. Grand Finale Showcase: Shortlisted teams will display e-posters and present a live pitch at the HKUMed Campus to an adjudicating panel of globally renowned nursing professors.
4. Finalist Exclusive Access: Finalists gain access to:

• The 16th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum
• Interactive Simulation Lab Tour
• Life Enrichment Talk on healthcare career pathways
• Trophies and medals awarded to winning teams

5. Stage 4 Simulation Competition: All 10 finalist teams will be invited to participate in a cutting-edge Nursing Clinical Simulation competition during the 2026/27 academic year.

Stage 4 Nursing Clinical Simulation Competition	2026/27 Academic Year	Top 10 finalist teams invited to join a specialized clinical simulation competition.
