Incoming School Visit on 30 September 2017 – Hong Kong True Light College Past Event
On September 30, 2017, we were happy to receive a group of Secondary 5 students from the Hong Kong True Light College together with their parents and teachers. Dr. Janet Wong, Programme Director of the Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) programme, delivered a warm welcome to our visitors, followed by an introduction of nursing profession, the programme and various innovative teaching and learning approaches adopted in the School. The Principal and the students found the talk very informative and showed interest in learning more about the JUPAS admission interview and requirements. In addition, we were pleased to have our current BNurs students to share their study experiences at HKU with the visitors.
A guided tour of our Nursing Skills Laboratory in Pauline Chan Building was also arranged for the visitors. Students and parents enjoyed the interactive nursing skills demonstrations conducted by our Assistant Lecturers, Dr. John Fung, Ms Iris Ho, Mr Edmond Chan, Ms Florence Yip and Ms Cherry Sun and actively participated in the simulation activities. Overall, our visitors gained a better understanding of clinical nursing knowledge after this visit.
