Smoke-free Elite Teens Programme 2024-2025 Past Event

Event details

The School is pleased to continue its support of the Smoke-free Elite Teens Programme, organised by the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH).

Around 70 students participated in the Programme Orientation at our campus on October 5.  After an introduction to the Smoke-free Elite Teens Programme, Dr Joanna Ko, Lecturer of HKU School of Nursing, provided an overview of our Bachelor of Nursing Programme to the participants, followed by a tour of our clinical skills laboratories.  Participants were impressed by the state-of-the-art simulation facilities in the School.  Dr Ko and Professor Polly Li, Associate Programme Director of the Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time), demonstrated basic nursing skills, allowing participants to practice and experience these skills firsthand. The participants showed great enthusiasm during the practice.  Apart from the lab tour, participants also attended a presentation on smoke-free counselling skills and a group discussion session.  It is gratifying to witness another group of elite teens embarking on their journey to promote a smoke-free community.
