Summer Incoming Student Exchange Programme 2025 Past Event

Event details

We extend a warm welcome to our Summer Incoming Exchange Students from around the world. This year, we were delighted to have 73 students and teachers from 12 institutes including the University of Sydney, Central South University, Ningxia Medical University, Peking Union Medical College, Zunyi Medical University, Trinity College Dublin, the National University of Singapore, EWHA Womans University, Jeju National University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Mahidol University and HKU. Throughout their stay, students had the opportunity to engage in cultural exchange, explore the Hong Kong community, and experience university life at HKU.

During the two-week Exchange Programme from July 7 to 18, students from across the globe not only expanded their social networks through the East-Meets-West Luncheon but also gained valuable insights into the local community through Community Experiential Learning, district visits, community visits, and clinical visits. These experiences provided them with a deeper understanding of Hong Kong’s community services, healthcare system, and hospital environment.

In addition, students had the chance to immerse themselves in HKU life by visiting our Simulation Centre, School of Chinese Medicine and Experiential Learning of Treatment Modality.

The programme concluded with participants sharing insights into their own countries’ healthcare systems and a reflection on their experiences over the two weeks.

We are delighted to see how much the students enjoyed the Summer Exchange Programme, building friendships and creating memories together. It is never easy to say goodbye, but friendships built will last forever!
