HKU Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions was successfully held on 28 October, and we thank everyone for attending this important event. The two admissions talks conducted by Dr Veronica Lam Suk-fun and Dr Polly Li Wai-chi, Programme Director and Associate Programme Director respectively, were fully attended, and an additional session was organised for visitors.  The School would like to sincerely thank the students and parents for their unwavering support.  In addition, we were truly honoured to have Professor Chak-sing Lau, Dean of Medicine, showing his support by attending our admissions talk.

The participating students and parents eagerly asked questions during the programme consultation. Through the Programme Director’s explanation and our nursing students’ sharing, they learned more about the courses, teaching features, Life Enrichment learning, clinical practicum, career prospects of the Bachelor of Nursing (full-time) programme (JS6468) and the Bachelor of Nursing (full-time) Advanced Leadership Track programme (JS6418) and the campus life of students.

Participants also had a chance to visit the simulated wards, observe demonstrations of different nursing skills, and experience different nursing techniques first-hand. They could further understand the clinical nursing applications and practices. The School also exhibited a variety of nursing research and community applications, through trivial games, participants could understand the breadth of nursing and its impact on public health education.
