Luncheon with Head of HKU School of Nursing 2019 Past Event

The Luncheon with Head of HKU School of Nursing was successfully held on April 27, 2019 (Saturday).  We were honoured to have invited Professor Vivian Lin, Executive Associate Dean (Strategy and Operations), and Professor Ivan Hung, Assistant Dean (Admissions), LKS Faculty of Medicine, HKU to deliver the welcoming notes to our guests.

HKU School of Nursing is dedicated to nurturing nursing leaders for the community and the world, and generate knowledge to advance the practice and discipline of nursing, Professor Chia-Chin Lin, Head of School of Nursing, took this opportunity to demonstrate our commitment and determination through a presentation of the revamped Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) Programme, the new life enrichment programme, and the future strategic development plan. Furthermore, Dr Janet Wong, Programme Director of Bachelor of Nursing (Full-time) also introduced the unique features of the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) adopted for the BNurs(FT) admission exercise to our guests.

Prior to the luncheon, 22 secondary school principals and representatives toured our Li Shu Fan Medical Foundation Nursing Clinical Skills Laboratory and Simulation Training Centre.  With the attentive introduction of our teachers, attending guests could feel the enthusiasm and professionalism of our teaching team and the importance of knowledge transfer through high fidelity simulation training and advanced technologies, such as virtual reality (VR) cave and videos and robots, etc.

With the unfailing support of the secondary school representatives, the Luncheon with Head of HKU School of Nursing was concluded successfully, everyone enjoyed the delightful atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon.
