Simulation-based Education Workshop for Teacher Profession Course Past Event

Event details

As simulation has become an integral part of nursing education, the School will spare no effort in providing quality simulation-based education (SBE). Recently, a one-day SBE workshop was held in the Teacher Profession Course on April 26, 2023, aiming to better equip teachers in delivering SBE and other IT technologies to teaching pedagogies.

The workshop featured both theoretical and practical sessions that covered a range of areas, including conducting effective simulation activities, designing and writing simulation scenarios, operating high-fidelity patient simulators and systems, the teacher’s role as a facilitator in VR experiential learning, the use of Chatbot in nursing education, and maximizing the benefits of debriefing pedagogy.

With an ASPiH-accredited simulation training centre in place and a growing number of accredited academic members, the School will continue to sharpen the skills of our teachers for professional development and to help nursing students achieve better learning outcomes through quality SBE.
