Events

The HKU School of Nursing has a strong mission to provide diversified and holistic nursing education. An inspiring Summer Programme for secondary students who aspire to serve the community as professional nurses was organised from July 29 to 31, 2021. 

Around 100 students attended the first half-day activities on July 29 with zoom lectures and small group tutorials on topics related to health management, as well as received information on the latest programme details, student life, missions and roles of nurses from the HKU School of Nursing teachers, student mentors and alumni.

Two identical full-day on-site activities were organised for students on July 30 and 31 at The University of Hong Kong. Participating students not only could tour around the main campus and medical campus to get familiar with the neighbourhood, but they also practiced hands-on clinical skills in the nursing lab.  Students found the high-fidelity simulation, community simulation, and VR cave very impressive and enjoyed a fun yet educational day at HKU School of Nursing.
